Pic of the week – 2014/43: Seagull Reflection

In the last days we´ve been having lots of foggy days, where the whole city just sunk into an ocean of mist. Normally, the fog should disappear as the day gets older… but in this case it just stood there… from sunrise till sunset. This kind of days are a welcome present for photographers, cause you get to have very special light conditions. Not only that the light is very soft and creamy, but the normal horizon on the images just “fogs” away!

This image here of a seagull flying over the Lake Alster in Hamburg would normally have had a horizon (in this case the buildings around the lake), but because of the fog… it just disappeared.
